God is There

Here is an excerpt from the fifth chapter of my new release, "The Signature of God":

"In the Bible when Christ ascended into heaven, God sent His Holy Spirit to be with us. The Holy Spirit is to be our comforter and to reside with us. His presence helps us through fear, worry, and distress. His presence is with us in moments of joy, contentment, and calm. His presence offers us peace, meaning, and purpose. I believe that God has made Himself manifest in His natural world in order to give us hope and comfort in our lives. Whether through our experiences with animals or nature, His presence assures us that we are not alone, that He is with us in each moment, and that He is actively engaged in the circumstances of our lives."

I wrote the poem "God is There" with these thoughts in mind.

God Is There

God’s presence is seen everywhere
The sun, our source, gives us life
The solid, unmovable earth exists for us to stand
The gentle breeze whispers God’s name
The lightning bolt gives light into darkness
The gale force winds display His power and might The details of each and every
snowflake show His creativity
The restorative rain replenishes
and brings new growth
The blue, yellow, and burnt-orange skies
reveal His artistry
The lush valleys, vast oceans, still waters, and mighty mountains
exhibit His grandeur
All God’s metaphors give testimony to His plan

I turn to the right; I turn to the left
I look above; I look below
I look all around
God is there, everywhere, waiting to be found
