The Privilege
Here is an excerpt from the fourth chapter of my new release, "The Signature of God":
"God created the universe, so it tells of His sovereignty, power, and character. And He signed His name in the natural world in such a way that it offers, among His other incredible attributes, His strength. We can see the sun and the moon, the stars and the sky, but who had the power to put these in place?
Who has the strength to hold the world together? I believe not only that God’s creation displays His power and strength but also that His power and strength in creation help us better understand and know Him. The amount of power we can witness in His creation is overwhelming. I can’t even begin to grasp the kind of power God must have had to create the universe and to sustain it now."
I wrote "The Privilege" with these thoughts in mind...
The Privilege
The cool water presses to my body like a wet wick. Each breath is short and very quick
until it slows to the rhythm of my inborn beat.
It is deep down here that I, myself, rst meet.
As I descend below the light
I see such creatures of delight.
The colors and the shapes that surround
bring awe and wonder without a sound.
I am here the stranger and am their guest.
There is nothing here I want to miss.
Deep down below brings true bliss.
This is a window to another world.
All God’s power can unfurl.
His strength and might rest quietly in
such destruction disguised from within.
Floating slowly the time has passed.
This privilege is gone; it was too fast.
The magic vision disappears as I ascend.
I pray dear Lord to come again.
