A Prayer for the Ephesians
Here is an excerpt from the final chapter of my newest book , "The Signature of God":
"God holds nothing back from loving us. Sometimes He shows us His love through small, simple things in creation, things we’ve seen thousands of times before but overlooked. Other times, He gets our attention in bigger ways, and we might wonder how we haven’t noticed Him there all along. I believe God has always revealed His love for us in innumerable ways.
He speaks to us through nature. He reveals His magnificence in the universe. He builds order into the world around us. His signature is everywhere, including in us. The fact that we’re here proves we’re part of His grand design.
God has always been trying to get your attention through the ways He’s shaped and engineered the circumstances of your life and surroundings. You may have noticed God’s signature on things around you for some time but not necessarily known what to do with it all. The premise of this book is that God’s creation reveals who He is and how He feels about you. He created you to know Him and has always pursued you with His love. Do you believe He loves you? And do you want to love Him back?
As I conclude this preview of my newest book, 'The Signature of God', I encourage you to invite Christ into your life now and accept God’s invitation to have eternal life with Him. It will be the best decision you ever made. You’ll know how to have peace beyond understanding, experience calmness in your heart, give love without expectation, and live a life of joy and purpose. Asking Christ to be your Savior will literally save your life. No matter what journey you’ve been on so far in life and what things you think you’ve done, no sin is a surprise to God or too big for Him to forgive when you are truly repentant and desire forgiveness. Remember that He made you special and unique and has a special place for you—specially designed for you—in His Kingdom. His will for you is to be with Him for eternity and to become the person that He created you to be."
A Prayer for the Ephesians (and my prayer for you):
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the mea- sure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
