God's Muse

I wrote this poem to express my gratitude and appreciation to God for His abiding, unwavering love. It was written as a thank you for growing Healing Presence Ministry to followers all over the world reading my poetry about God's love. It’s about my desire to please the Lord and to serve Him the best I can. I hope in some small way I make Him smile and bring Him delight, as a loving father feels about his child.

What I have witnessed in my ministry has testified to me the power of God to do the miraculous. I know what has happened is not about me; it is only about God. So, I see myself as God's servant, or His scribe. I also hope I am His muse, giving Him joy and pleasure as my words bring Him glory and praise.

God’s Muse

My heart sings and longs to be
Servant of my Savior to make of me

To love Him I so do wish
Yearning to feel His tender, fatherly kiss

To please Him and bring Him delight
Sends my soul to take flight
He is so strong, powerful with might
It is He who gives my heart's insight

Intuition and inspiration His voice within
Whispers to me what messages to send

For others to know and feel His love
Is always pleasing to our God above

He calls on me for His things to do
I first resist, but then I always ensue
I have surrendered my mundane views
He is only what my heart pursues

It is He who makes me safe and secure
He always waits patiently with His tender, loving allure

Whatever He sends I have become willing
My old worldly ways have met their final killing

I look to God to lead my journey straight
With Him faith and belief can never be too late
He is always there to extend His merciful Grace
Jesus alone can and will plead my unmerited case

He leads me down unknown, untrodden paths
I know now I will never fear God's final judgement or wrath

He is my Savior and gives me life
I will never fear or fail to do His fight

I am His vessel and His tool
My heart alone He completely rules
So I choose each day to be God's devoted Muse
I am His now and forever to dutifully use
