I Meet You, God
My poem "I Meet You, God" is about knowing God and who He is. We can experience God is so many ways, but especially in nature, which is His beautiful creation. There, in nature's peace, stillness, and solitude we can hear His voice.
God always meets us in the present moment, which is timeless. He carries eternity into the moment. This moves us towards union with holy God. Are you listening for God's voice in your heart and life?
I Meet You, God
Alone in my quiet place I am still
It is then my heart to overflowing You fill
As the gentle breeze grazes my skin
My soul opens up to let You in
The wind whispers Your beloved name
Constant, unchanging staying always the same
The sea's roar proclaims your strength and might
Since I now know You, I am no longer without sight
I see You in colored rainbow skies
It is for You my soul whimpers and cries
I experience You in the beauty of all nature
Your presence I know; I feel no danger
You have been, are and will be there for me
Guiding my path with Your light to see
Patiently waiting and listening for You
All my needs You already knew
I know You from the love You send
Because You live and dwell within
Cool spring waters like You quench my thirst
From now on I promise to place You first
Rebirth has given me a brand new life
Now I live with no contention or strife
I meet You, God; I meet Your Son
In the eternal moment we become one
